Wits End
Zack really has me at my wits end. He is pushing all my buttons and I am finding it very hard not to loose it at him. He just keeps pushing and pushing and pushing and won't listen to a thing I say. It is really driving me mad. I don't know what is wrong with him and how to fix it. It makes me feel like a parental failure :-( Hopefully this stage will end soon because I don't know how much longer I can deal with it without loosing my mind and gaining the worse parent award.

Computer busted
Zack decided to take to my laptop with a toy so it now doesn't work. Its hard drive cannot be found as well as what you need to boot it up. I don't think I have ever been so cranky with him and he knew it too. He knows better than that and did it to be naughty. He told my mother that "mummy was very cranky with me last night" when she asked why he told her "I broke mummy's computer".
So since it was only 2 months old and there is no visible damage, I decided to tell a little white lie and say it was like that when I turned it on. Fingers crossed they are going to fix it, bc I am sooooo having withdrawals not having my computer and we cannot afford another one. :-(

Proud moment
I am one proud mummy right now. FINALLY and yes I mean FINALLY Zack has gone to sleep of a night without anyone in with him. Its been 2 nights now. I hope it continues, it makes it so much easier.
The first night I was in with him for a couple of minutes, but Ashton started crying and he didn't want me to wake James up to go in with me. He promised me he would stay in bed, and he did.
The second night james went to go in and he got into trouble. He got his dinosaurs and his teddys and he was going to sleep by himself :-)

Zack's first Disco
Yesterday was Zacks first ever disco. It was put on by the preschool, before the primary schools one. Zack has never been much one for the dancing. Never liked hi5 or the wiggles. He asked his pop to come with him and his pop got him dancing for a little bit. It only went for 45minutes but after 30 minutes all he wanted to do was sit down and watch. Ash on the other hand is a little boogier and bopped along to the music the whole time, even though he was tired. It was very cute watching all the little ones dance.

Trying threes
Everyone talks about the terrible twos but you hardly hear a thing about the trying threes. If you ask me the two's are a breeze compared to the three's. Bring back the twos I say, I can handle that.
Zack is being sooooo challenging. He is driving me insane and its so hard to stay calm. All he does his pick, pick, pick and try to press buttons. He is much worse of a night when James comes home, he likes to roll him and it works. James doesn't understand that that is what he is after, a reaction. He also knows that James doesn't follow through on his threats.
Nothing is working, I am trying to be consistent. I put him in his room tonight and he trashed it. I have 10 nappy boxes of baby cloths in his cupboard and he pulled every one of them out and pulled all the cloths out. I am telling you his whole room was like 30cm high in cloths. Now I have the lovely task of sitting down and sorting through all the cloths and putting them back into the right box by size, fun.
Someone please tell me the end is near, like very soon.

Quiet toddler
If you have a quiet toddler 90% of the time it means they are up to no good. It crosses my mind that hmmm I haven't heard Zack for a while....and I instantly think OMG what mess is he making. I caught him yesterday with his fathers PAID stamp. He wasn't so impressed when i had to scrub his face, legs and feet clean last night because he had preschool today.
But the other 10% of the time when he is not up to no good while being quiet he is doing things like building a farm that I usually help him do. He came running out to me so proud asking "mummy come look at the farm I built all by myself" when I went in and told him how clever he was and how proud of him I was he looked at me with shear love and said I am clever aren't I. My heart just melted.
Here is pic's of the farm he built all by himself.
Oh Zack you keep my on my toes but I love you so much, my clever boy!

Zacks 3rd birthday
Last Sunday was Zack's 3rd birthday. I can't believe my baby is 3. Where did 3 years go? This year he was so excited and so into his birthday. He was telling everyone it was his birthday and showing everyone with his fingers how old he was going to be.
The night before I stayed up late trying to put together his cubby house we bought him. James told me to wake him up if he falls asleep putting Zack to bed, but when I went to wake him up he babbled some nonesence and wouldn't get up, so I set off to work by myself. It took HOURS but doing it by myself ment I could take my time and read the instruction (something James doesn't do so well). I was very proud of myself that I had almost everything done, just the seats to go. Well the seats were not easy, it was midnight, Ashton had been up once already for a feed and wowsers I was getting cranky (a few choice words to James were thrown in there too). I went to try wake James up again bc I needed his help and he got strait up and promptly said to me, "wow you have been busy, why didn't you wake me up" >:-/
James, Ashton and I were up waiting for him to wake up the next morning, at 8.15 we decided to wake him as soon as I said do you want some presents he was out of bed. As usual I had gone overboard with all of his presents.

Then I had to get busy making the dragon cake he wanted. Mum and I thought we were very clever and were very pleased with it.
He had a great party. I think he was getting very overwhelmed with all the presents everyone was giving him.
Here is a photo of him with his new bike my mum and dad gave him. It is like a motor bike and he loves it. He also has his dinosaur on his lap which he also loved.
